Marker Rendering was exciting. I love how colours could blend in
and add magnificent touch to a plan drawing.

Progressive work

Kiew Tze Yun

This was our first assignment, we were asked draw a close up object in use of different techniques that was being taught.

This is a simple Orthographic projection.

A more complex Orthographic projection during our second class. When we were still very fond with our tools.

Our first Plan. It reminded me of the struggle I had when parting the sections and drawing straight and neat construction lines.

Short Elevation. It was a struggle to keep lines neat with the show of construction lines to differentiate their position. In example, the top is the thickness (roof) follow by window. Not forgetting the mistake I've made which was to draw base line thick.

Long section. The tough part in drawing this was using pen, without good control of the ink it will smear ruin the drawing on tracing paper.

Isometric. It was the time we learnt drawing a oval with the use of protractor.

Short section.

Roof ceiling plan (RCP). This was the toughest plan in my personal opinion. There were many symbols and the inner dimension that must be drawn. Hence it looks a little messy.

One point grid. With this it can ease our drawing.

3D Drawing. Kitchen. This was an interesting piece to work on. We get to design our desirable kitchen base on our style and preference.

Two point perspective. This grid ease a lot of work in drawing a precise two-point drawing.

Two-point perspective. Bedroom.

Enhancing in watercolour. Fruits.

Animation sketchnote. I've chosen Mulan as my animation sketch
the reason so is because I find this story has a meaningful moral story
and about this brave legendary young lady that worth us learning from her.
In this sketch, I regretted in using pencil in sketching (I did not know pencil was not allow) and hence I did not get my desire marks. I could have ace it.

Assignment: Sketchnote

This given task is related to our previous class trip that was held back in Pulau Tioman. We are ask to draw our experience of the journey from departing at Uni to arriving at Mersing's Jeti port, it is where we take our ferry. Besides, in lecture we as well learnt about all objects are form from basic elements- LINES. Hence, in this task everything is related to lines. Back to basic.

In this project we had a study trip at Pulau Tioman. During the 3days 2nights we had
one lecture. And we were asked to explore around the island and sketch a still live drawing base on our favourite scene.

Design Communication (week 8)

In this assignment, the task that was given to us was to search 5 one point perspective kitchen finishes and identify its Ground Level (GL), Horizon Level (HL) and Vanishing Point (VP).
The lecture we had was all based on perspective, hence this visual task was to ensure our understanding. Drawing perspective grid was a little mess, however I enjoy the whole learning. The grid was to help us on our understanding of dept and placement of furniture.

Design Communication (week 4)

During class, we were thought on different types of plans. In example, the typical and basic floor plan, roof plan and ceiling plan. After, we were given 2 plan task the objective is to examine on our understanding based on plan. It was not as easy as it seems after working hands on. The problems I faced was some of the edges of the plan does not show clarity and it was confusing. Besides, there are multiple types of architecture symbols that can be use in representing a particular object. For instance, casement window can be drawn in many ways. Hence, that got me a little lost.

Visual diary task

In this visual dairy task, the objective is to enable us to understands all architecture symbols. It is the basics of what an architecture student should know entitle to draw plans and direct others clearly.

1.Types of detail symbols:

a) Fixed Frameless Glass Window
b) Double Swing Casement Window
c) Double Hung Window

2. Types of symbols for materials:

3. Orthographic projection for cylinder and cone:
