During class, we were thought on different types of plans. In example, the typical and basic floor plan, roof plan and ceiling plan. After, we were given 2 plan task the objective is to examine on our understanding based on plan. It was not as easy as it seems after working hands on. The problems I faced was some of the edges of the plan does not show clarity and it was confusing. Besides, there are multiple types of architecture symbols that can be use in representing a particular object. For instance, casement window can be drawn in many ways. Hence, that got me a little lost.

Visual diary task


In this visual dairy task, the objective is to enable us to understands all architecture symbols. It is the basics of what an architecture student should know entitle to draw plans and direct others clearly.

The objective of this assignment is to master rendering with the use of different techniques.

Tonal value in shades of six tones.

Hatching. One of the most 

commonly used technique in sketching.

Cross-hatching.

Scribbling. One of the easiest technique

I personally think. 

Stipping. One of the nicest yet 

time consuming piece.

Design Communication 

Assignment 1:Designing self sketchbook (week1) 

In this assignment we are ask to prepare a sketchbook and design the cover. Sketchbook is an essentials for us design student hence I drew my initials on the front cover to represent myself. 

Besides, the reason for a ribbon tie on the book is because sketchbooks are meant to be sketchy and ideas could go wild at times hence a ribbon tie would just be great to keep them ideas and materials together. 

Materials used. 

In this design, I want to keep things simple with the idea of monochrome 

hence I've utilised the background and foreground of the cover. 

And white paper matches perfectly with brown;

pleasing to eye. 

Better settings of my sketchbook.
